A VSOP Cognac made from eaux-de-vie from the finest terroirs. Robust and mature, with a deep taste and aroma, Roland Bru VSOP Cognac was created in the image and likeness of Roland himself during this period of his life. It is made exclusively from eaux-de-vie from the finest terroirs of Cognac and has been aged for at least 4 years. Roland Bru's VSOP contains Fine Champagne eaux-de-vie, made up of the Grande and Petite Champagne crus. They are known for producing exceptional eaux-de-vie. This is largely due to the geological history of the region, which was formed millions of years ago in the Jurassic period. The maritime climate, fossilised sediments and high limestone content allow water to drain easily, producing a typically light and floral Cognac. Having acquired the estate in 1955, Roland Bru began producing Cognac at the property in Sireuil, located near the Charente river. The Cognac house owns 20 hectares of vineyards in Grande Champagne and 40 hectares in Fins Bois. They also work in partnership with local winegrowers. Run by three generations of the Bru family, the Moisans distillery has been a place of magic for many years. He decided that to make the finest Cognacs he would have to be quite patient, and so he kept some of the oldest and finest Cognacs to let them age even longer.
