Chimay is a Trappist beer brewed and bottled at the brewery of the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Scourmont in Chimay (Belgium). Chimay is one of the ten Trappist beer brands. A strong beer with an alcohol content of 8.0%. It is distinguished by its dark orange colour, strong hop bitterness, fruity aroma with notes of muscat grapes, raisins, apple and grapefruit, and a finish of bitter almonds, honey and bread. Brewed since 1966.
