This single malt Irish whiskey is triple-distilled in a traditional pot still from 100% malted Irish barley from a single Irish distillery. It is first aged for at least 8 years in 200-litre flame-charred former oak bourbon barrels made by a bourbon distillery in Kentucky, USA, before being transferred to luscious 200L first-fill vintage oak Tawny Port casks from the village of Pinhão in the Douro Valley in northern Portugal for a further 9 months of finishing.
