The Irish words Barr an Uisce (pronounced Bar an Ishka) literally translate as above the water. It is also the Irish name given to Barraniskey, a town located in the heart of beautiful County Wicklow on the east coast of Ireland. Pale golden in colour. Aromas of vanilla, honey and baked fruit (confit). A very smooth entry, then expansive, coating the mouth with an oily texture. The mid-palate shows a nutty note and warmth, with hints of raisins and plums. A long, clean finish with fine marmalade and caramel. The Wicklow Blend is as mysterious as the ancient mountains after which this blended Irish whiskey is named. Blend – 80% grain whiskey / 20% 10-year-old malt. Aged in first-fill bourbon casks for 4 years, finished in Oloroso casks for 6 months. Aroma: toffee and milk chocolate with fruity notes of raisins underneath. Taste: honeyed cereal and floral barley combined with notes of spiced fruit compote. Finish: long-lasting almond pastry notes. Alcohol - 43% Volume - 0.7L
