A champagne-worthy successor to the excellent 2014 vintage, this is a little lighter and more acid-driven than that vintage. It consists of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay; 34% was aged in oak barrels. After five years, the sludge is disgorged with 8 grams per liter dose. The nose shows light toast with yellow plum, apple and a hint of clotted cream. The palate is just shy of medium weight with apple, plum, toast, cream and hazelnut on the finish.
