There’s beautiful ripeness and depth in the 2016 Château La Courolle, which comes from the Montagne region of Saint Emilion. Loads of plums, black cherries, blueberries, graphite, and subtle oak all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, nicely balanced
Story
This is a wonderful insight into Saint Emilion style, at a good price. The Guimberteau family has been involved in wine production for over 100 years and the current steward of the family’s holdings, Rodolphe, is the fourth generation. Château La Courolle is situated on the plateau of Montagne-Saint-Emilion on argilo-calcaire (clay-limestone) soil.
