It is selected and bottled by the independent bottler Château du Breuil. It is distilled from molasses using a pot still and aged for 5 years. A very powerful aromatic profile characterised by esters and banana notes. Mineral and olive aromas appear later. PALATE. Powerful aromas of yellow banana are complemented by notes of red fruit, caramel and vanilla. The finish is rounded, with caramelised fruit and oxidative notes. Rum Explorer Guyana was distilled at the Demerara Distillers distillery and then transferred to Château du Breuil for ageing. The rum was aged on site for between two and five years in former Oloroso sherry casks. During this time it developed rich fruity flavours highlighted by aromatic spices. Tasting notes. Nose: a fruity and spicy bouquet. Palate: varied red fruit aromas develop on the palate, with warming spices in the background.
